Here we are, about two weeks before the festival & everything is becoming real, really real. Rehearsals are going incredibly well, on Monday we'll be having our first "run through" where we perform the whole show. Ticket sales are a dream - we're close to selling out our 5th show now and just today we were granted an extension by the Festival. Now we get to have what we are lovingly refering to as the "SNL Slot" at 11 PM on Saturday, October 3rd. That should be a pretty choice show to attend.
The media is all a buzz about Fantasy Football: The Musical? You can read about us everywhere from CNBC to the LA Times & last week we were Sports Illustrated's "Sign of the Apocalypse."
Check out our articles on the News page on our website www.fantasyfootballthemusical.com.
Today we performed on Seth Rudesky's Chatterbox @ Don't Tell Mama's. More details to come - for now, more industry comps to reserve... :-)

David on the Radio
Just last night David was interviewed by "The Fantasy Shark" Greg Kellogg on his Blog-Cast Radio Show. It was a fantastic interview and David showed his prowess both in the theater world and in the football world. Yes - he can talk the talk and walk the walk. :-)

Preparing for Kick-Off
Hello fellow Fantasy Football: The Musical? fans! We're staring up this post today just 52 days before opening night, October 1st! Yikes!
In these 52 days there's a whole heck of a lot to accomplish. Lots more fund raising to be done (DONATE HERE!) A set to be built, a play to be rehearsed, marketing materials to be distributed, the list goes on and on. This is gonna be one hell of a ball game, and standing here at the kick off seems like one of the most daunting and exhilarating tasks I've ever set out on. Thankfully, our team is strong - we're "stacked" as one might say. And as long as everyone pulls their weight we'll be ready for a solid victory come showtime. (Yes, I find it immensely entertaining to mix sports and show biz rhetoric.)
The buzz about FF:TM? is already starting to build. The show was featured on the popular and ever-snarky sports blog, "Deadspin," and just recently received a shout-out at the mecca of sports information, ESPN. "The Talented Mr. Roto" Matthew Berry, the inspiration for the lead character of this musical, personally mentioned that he is excited to come see this "Broadway musical" (his words, not mine!).
We have also received our first interview request! On August 18th, David will be going on Blog Talk Radio's fantasy football show with "Fantasy Shark Greg Kellogg" for a 20 minute interview. David will tell him about the production and play a song or two. It should be a fun time.
And most excitingly, we have a full cast! Starring as Bill Simmons, Nick Spangler has been garnering rave reviews for his lead role in the revival of "The Fantasticks," and has been amassing millions of fans after winning the 13th Season of "The Amazing Race" on CBS. You might recognize Nick Sullivan, playing the role of Mr. Bulgewater, from Broadway productions of "Footloose," "The Imaginary Cuckold," and "The School for Husbands."
Christine Pedi, the host of the radio show "Broadway Breakfast," will be playing Mrs. Berry. Ms. Pedi is an unbelievable talent, and "Sopranos" fans may recognize her as Karen Baccalieri. We are delighted that she has signed on.
Emily McNamara will be playing Sarah. Cast-members Greg Hildreth and Ben Steinfeld, who can be seen performing all around Manhattan, "Fantasy Football" will be making FF:TM? their second collaboration after the hugely successful "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson."
